"One Punch Man" might be currently airing on Adult Swim program, but fans are already waiting for season 2 to commence. And since there's no news yet on when, or if ever, season 2 will arrive, fans have taken to speculating on it.

A second season of "One Punch Man" was confirmed way back in 2015. Since then, there's been no update with regard to the sequel to the highly popular animated series. But there's certainly no lack of rumors and speculations about it.

It has been speculated that "One Punch Man" season 2 will arrive sometime in 2017. However, some say that the anime's next season will commence shortly after "One Punch Man" finishes its season 1 run later this year. Fans are also expecting more episodes in season 2.

Aside from its return date, fans have been theorizing on who Saitama will be going up against. At the end of season 1, the hero has openly lamented that he has once again been defeating his enemies with just one punch. To that end, fans are expecting Saitama to be going up against stronger opponents, or maybe even more than one enemy.

Rumor has it that "One Punch Man" season 2 will see the return of Lord Boros. The villain was soundly defeated in season 1 but will reportedly be back stronger than ever next season. There are also reports that Saitama might also be going up against Amai Mask and Garou. While they're not as inherently evil as Lord Boros, fans are expecting some interesting twists and conflict to be revealed if these two do turn out to be one of season 2's villains.

Lord Boros might have had a challenging time bringing down Saitama, but it's possible that the hero will be defeated by something even more powerful and insidious — love. Reports have surfaced that Saitama might be getting a love interest in season 2, although no one knows who it will be.
