'One Punch Man' season 2 spoilers, release date: Saitama returns with a split personality, to unleash his villainous side

(Hulu)"One Punch Man" season 2 is speculated to feature Saitama as a villainous character.

The hit Japanese superhero anime series "One Punch Man" still has no official release date for its second season. However, there are already numerous rumors and speculations of the lead hero Saitama's fate when he returns on the small screens.

According to reports, Saitama may no longer be a hero but a villain — and a powerful one at that. Apparently, his change of heart is caused by his group, whom he thinks may no longer fit him. However, it could also be because of being caught up in the love triangle with sisters Tatsumaki and Fubuki. Tatsumaki is a hero from Class S, while Fubuki is from Class B. Because of their constant clashing, Saitama may opt to be a villain.

Also, another Class S hero named King could be the newest protagonist in the mix. He is so powerful that no one dares to fight against him, not even the monsters. However, Saitama seems doubtful of his identity. He knows that there is something off about King, but he may choose not to focus on it.

Also, other sources speculate that instead of being an all-out villain, Saitama may return with a split personality. He may start season 2 unleashing his evil side. Also, based on the original source material of "One Punch Man," Garou plays a huge role in the series. So, if the animators will stay true to the manga, then fans can expect Garou or the Monster Admirer and Time Bomb to debut in "One Punch Man" season 2.

It's been more than a year since the freshman season of the anime version of "One Punch Man" was released. 2016 is almost ending, but there is still no official word from the anime developers, especially from head animator Yusuke Murata, regarding season 2's premiere. However, there are speculations that the team is doing their best to finish it up.

More details on "One Punch Man" season 2 may soon be announced.
