Inmates at the Litchfield Federal Correctional Institute are sorely missed by fans as season two wrapped in 2014. Netflix soared to popularity with its show "Orange Is The New Black" and also bagged many awards at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Several reports suggested that the new season would release in June 2015 as previous seasons also had a June or July release. However, the exact date of the season's premiere will be announced by Netflix in February 2015, reports The Christian Post. Jenji Kohan also teased fans that the prevailing theme throughout the season will be "faith". Many cast members will be returning for the upcoming season including Taylor Schilling as Piper Chapman, Kate Mulgrew as Red, Uzo Aduba as Crazy Eyes, Laverne Cox as Sophia Burset, Michael Harney as Sam Healy and Laura Prepon as Alex Vause.

Previous reports also suggested that Australian model Ruby Rose will be a new character on the show, playing the role of Stella Carlin. Alex and Piper will be vying for the attention of this new inmate at Litchfield.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, star Danielle Brooks, who plays the role of Tasytee revealed that her character will undergo an emotional journey after Vee's death and maybe have a romantic angle. Brooks said, "It's very emotional...It catches (Taystee) off guard. She definitely goes on another journey with growing pains. We'll find out if she falls in love or if she doesn't." Could Taystee finally develop feelings for her long-time girlfriend Poussey? In season two, Poussey expressed her romantic feelings to Taystee but the latter was sure that she did not feel the same for her friend. Or is it that Taystee may have a romance outside the walls of Litchfield Penitentiary?

The first episode titled "It's the Great Blumpkin, Charlie Brown" is rumored to air in June 2015, however, an official announcement from Netflix will make the air date clearer.
