Season 2 hasn't been released on Netflix yet, but Orange Is The New Black gained new momentum as the show was confirmed for a third season. Following the history of OITNB new season premiere dates, the third season is likely to premiere late Spring 2015.

Fans of the successful Netflix jailbird drama, Orange Is The New Black, has something to cheer about as the show has just been confirmed to run for a third season. Actress Laura Prepon, whose character Alex Vause, will be returning for season 3 after rumors of her absence in the soon-to-be-premiered season 2 were released. In her Instagram account, Prepon posted a photo that listed possible series and episode titles of Orange Is The New Black for its third season.

Prepon plays Alex Vause, an inmate with a history of connection to an international drug ring. During her time in the said organization, Vause fell in love with Piper Chapman and draws her into her world of illegal dealings and money transferring. The two were the pivotal characters in the series' first season.

Season 1 of the series has been highly regarded by critics and fans, with lead actress Taylor Schilling (who plays Piper Chapman) even gaining a Golden Globe nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Drama. Schilling lost to Robin Wright for House of Cards. Though not having an award, Schilling and the rest of the Orange Is The New Black stars have something to cheer about. Season 2 will premiere in its entirety on June 6 and early reviews about the first episode are nothing short of satisfactory.
