'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 will likely air in June next year, considering Season 1 and 2 had premiere date on July 11, 2013, and June 6, 2014, respectively.

The Netflix original series is a big hit with its controversial, but honest women prison life portrayal, which is uncommon in famous culture, especially via a TV series.

Orange is the New Black tells the story about prisoner Piper Chapman, played by Taylor Schilling, who got sentenced to prison for transporting drug money.

Series creator Jenji Kohan, who is also behind "Weeds," uses the memoirs of Piper Kerman which Kerman wrote during her year in prison.

The Orange is the New Black Season 3 cast will feature Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, who has confirmed her return to season 3. While she was not part of Season 2 that much, thanks to hiding, she never felt like leaving because all the girls are so close, and all of them wanted her to be play a bigger part in the second season.

There are rumors Larry Bloom, played by Jason Biggs, will not be a big focus in Season 3. Larry is Piper's significant other. Biggs likewise said he has not joined the Season 3 filming yet, suggesting that Bloom's appearances in the third season might be limited.

With regard to Yvonne "Vee" Parker, the character played by Lorraine Toussaint, she may not be returning for season 3. The actress is also part of the cast of new ABC crime drama "Forever," playing Lt. Joanna Reece, a seen-it-all police officer. However, to most fans, her portrayal of the antagonist in Orange is the New Black will be unforgettable .

Schilling teased a possible return of an important Season 2 character, namely Andrew (played by Richard Gallagher), as it would be interesting to begin exposing various things happening in the prison. Though she is not aware of the details of what Andrew will be doing, she thinks his return would be a valuable exploration.
