'Outlander' season 3 spoilers: Claire's return to turn Jamie's life upside down, says Sam Heughan

(Starz)"Outlander" season 3 will feature Jamie's life turning upside down anew after his reunion with Claire.

While the upcoming season 3 of "Outlander" is already confirmed not to arrive in April, it can already be expected that the latest installment of the Starz historical-fiction series will feature Jamie's (Sam Heughan) world turning upside down once more upon the return of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in his life.

As "Outlander" is based on Diana Gabaldon's series of books, with its upcoming season 3 lifted from the third book titled "Voyager," it is not really surprising if some fans of the series already know how its story pans out. However, as not all "Outlander" fans have read the series' book origin, many still wonder how "Outlander" season 3 will pan out.

It is already a known fact that "Outlander" season 3 will feature Jamie and Claire being separated for 20 years as it is how things are in the book. Nonetheless, it is also public knowledge that the two will eventually reunite after both of them thought that each had already died after their separation.

Without question, most fans are looking forward to the print shop scene where Jamie and Claire are reunited. While the said scene will revive the love story of Jamie and Claire, it is also the beginning of Jamie's life turning upside down anew.

"Obviously within a day of her returning, all hell breaks loose. His world is turned upside down, just like every time Claire is involved. I think the print shop obviously is going to be hopefully everything that we wanted it to be. But I think in the episodes before, there's so much that goes on," Heughan revealed in an interview.

As to how Jamie's world will change upon the return of Claire in his life, fans who have not read "The Voyager" and do not intend to will need to extend their patience first: After it was thought that "Outlander" season 3 would arrive next month, it has been announced that the series will drop its latest offering in September instead.

The cast and crew for "Outlander" season 3 are currently in South Africa to film the make-believe scenes of Jamie and Claire's voyage to the Caribbean after their reunion.
