'Poldark' season 2 episode 5 spoilers: An informant poses a threat to all; George plans to bring Ross down

(Poldark / Facebook)“Poldark” season 2 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on BBC One.

Everyone will be threatened by an informant of the illegal trade in the upcoming episode 5 of the second season of the British-American period drama "Poldark."

According to the official synopsis from BBC, everyone's secret is in danger as an informant in the smuggling ring appears and poses a serious threat to all. Meanwhile, George (Jack Farthing) pays for Ross' (Aidan Turner) debt as his move to bring him down. Caroline (Gabriella Wilde), on the other hand, has to go back to Cornwall to announce an important news. Although her announcement is expected to be big, Elizabeth (Heida Reed) decides to let out a baffling secret.

The promo trailer for the fifth episode shows Ross dealing with love problems as he is torn between two women. He is asked if it is possible for a man to love two women and a woman to love two men.

In an interview with Stuff NZ, actor Turner revealed that after viewers witnessed his character Poldark grow up from an impulsive and immature kid in season 1, they will now watch him learn about the realities of the world.

"I think he's become a better listener. Maybe better at delegating work. Delegating the load. The world doesn't rest on his shoulders and he's beginning to see that," Turner said.

However, things got even complicated after he was charged of murder and wrecking George Warleggan's boat. "He's a family man now, and dealing with a deep sense of loss," the actor added. "I can't imagine how difficult it might be, but I have to and I have to think of how this has affected him. Does he become more responsible or less responsible or what fits emotionally?"

The previous episode saw Poldark making a deal with a local smuggler to earn money, while Dwight (Luke Norris) received aid from a mystery man.

"Poldark" season 2 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on BBC One.
