'Pretty Little Liars' season 6 news and spoilers: shortened to episodes but will still answer questions around 'A'

"Pretty Little Liars" shocked fans with the unveiling of A's real identity: A man named Charles, who may or may not be Jason's twin brother. While the liars tried, unsuccessfully, to escape the dollhouse, Spencer's parents and the police were made aware of the ruthless prankster. The question now remains: why did Charles do what he did? Is he really Jason's brother a a twin?

Fortunately, Marlene King, producer of the famous teen drama and mystery show, confirmed to TVLine in an interview that season six would answer all questions. Although season six has been shortened to merely 10 episodes, each one of them will explain a lot of questions buzzing in fans' minds. Asked about the future, Marlene King said, 'We're looking at Season 6A as a compressed season; not only are we doing less episodes — we're doing 10, whereas we usually 12 or 13 — but it takes place over three weeks. In those three weeks, the girls are dealing with the fallout from the bunker trauma. They'll be pursuing and receiving real answers, as will the audience."

The plot will pick up where it left off, at the dollhouse where the liars could not escape. But towards the mid-season episode, fans will experience a time-jump of four years during which the liars go to college. Four years later the girls return and viewers will see them matured, grown up and getting on with life. Hollywood Life reports that a graduation episode will also be aired prior to them going heading to college. King also promised that A will finally be completely unmasked before the end of season seven. Finally, Hanna, Spencer, Aria and Emily will come face-to-face with their torturer, learn his story and understand his motives.

King also noted that the school, friend and family will start to understand the lairs' past erratic behavior and Tanner might retire. She also agreed that assuming Charles is Jason's twins is a safe assumption, but fans shouldn't hold on to it.
