The trailer for the upcoming "Prison Break" season 5 has been released and it shows Michael alive, imprisoned, and without amnesia.

When a reboot for the well-loved series was announced, the first question most of its fans asked was what happened to Michael. At the end of season 4, Michael was seen sacrificing himself so Sara could escape. His corpse was not shown, but his family was shown visiting his grave.

Michael was diagnosed with brain tumor prior to his perceived death and it was then speculated that if he did survive, amnesia could have prevented him from reaching out to his family.

In the trailer, Michael is seen in jail and Lincoln gets information that his brother could still be alive. He goes to Sara and shows her the pictures. The next scenes then show Lincoln visiting Michael in prison and telling him they'll get him out. The trailer teases of action and another conspiracy involved. It ends with a free Michael turning to face Lincoln and saying, "Brother," before they hug.

Aside from the loving relationship the brothers share, the friendship formed with their allies and the love story between Michael and Sara provided the appeal for the show. During Fox's 2016 Upfronts in New York, Access Hollywood caught up with actor Wentworth Miller and actress Sarah Wayne Callies who play Michael and Sara, respectively.

When asked if it felt good to get a call about reprising his role on "Prison Break," Miller said, "Yeah, yeah … but there's a responsibility too … you know. If we're gonna go back to tell another chapter, like, we have to to do well. We have to do justice to what came before."

As for the relationship between Michael and Sara, who has a child named Michael, Sarah said, "These are people that … we're catching up with seven years later, and a lot happens in seven years. Lives change."

There's a whole lot the fans want to know and they will have to wait a while as "Prison Break" season 5 will have to wait for 2017 to premiere.
