Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis), Alex's (Priyanka Chopra) mentor, may be exposed to be a spy working for the Citizens' Liberation Front in the upcoming episode of "Quantico."

In the episode titled "Stescalade," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that Alex's undercover assignment will bring her face to face with a person she knows. A United States summit attended by the First Lady was compromised last episode when unknown individuals declared a hostage situation. The President has issued an advisory to all Americans to keep a close watch on their surroundings. All the agents have been tapped to help free the captives, but they are being felled one by one. Clearly, someone has been keeping the rebels updated on the authorities' plans.

Alex is one of the remaining ones still not captured. In the promo, the only chance she gets to save the people is to infiltrate the group. The clip shows her donning a terrorist's uniform, complete with face mask. Miranda tells her that the group wants war to happen and she should be careful. Unfortunately, it was revealed last episode that Miranda could be the mole in the government. She called the extremists to tell them that Alex was somewhere in the building, acting as one of them. Just as predicted, the agent is soon discovered, but it remains to be seen how her fight with her assailant will end.

A lot is hanging in the balance for Alex in this assignment. As a newbie in the CIA, she wants to make a name for herself due to her skills. Saving the First Lady will be a feat she can be proud of for a lifetime. If her mission is compromised though, there is no telling what will happen to her. Could Miranda be so cold-blooded, she will let her protégée be killed?
