As fans wait for news about the release of "Rick and Morty" Season 3, it has been announced that fans will see the gang gearing up for a trip to Hawaii.

Three episodes after the premiere of Season 2, it was declared that another installment will arrive for the hit series. While there was not much information given about the plot or the release date except for Mr. Poopybutthole saying the show won't return for about a year and a half, the closest viewers can get is co-creator Dan Harmon's most recent teases.

According to Den of Geek, Harmon revealed: "It's time to demand that the network allows us to draw the characters going to Hawaii." Though there was nothing more given about the plot for "Rick and Morty" Season 3, it's great to know that things will move forward - and not just in any place but in Hawaii!

The outlet further notes that some show writers have confirmed that there were episodes completed late last month, which could possibly mean that instead of the expected March 2017 release of new episodes, "Rick and Morty" Season 3 may arrive before the current year ends.

As for which stars will appear in the upcoming installment, it's hard not to think that the team didn't drop some hints about guest stars during this year's San Diego Comic Con. The show's SDCC panel shared that they would love to have Vin Diesel over though it is unclear if talks for his guest appearance have been ironed out.

Diesel's deep and manly voice would definitely make an amazing addition to the star-studded list of Hollywood names that offered their voice acting skills to the franchise.

Meanwhile, it is expected that more of Beth and Jerry's problems will be explored in "Rick and Morty" Season 3. As fans saw in the previous installment, the couple mentioned the big "D" and viewers can only assume that Morty will be greatly affected if ever his parents end up in divorce.

Adult Swims has yet to announce an official premiere date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3.
