'Riverdale' episode 3 spoilers news: Secrets, shame campaign to be exposed

More secrets will be revealed on the next episode of "Riverdale" on The CW.

In the previous episode titled "Chapter Two: A Touch of Evil," Archie Andrews (K.J. Apa) decided to come clean about the gunshot that he and Miss Grundy (Sarah Habel) heard when they were making out at the Sweetwater River during the Fourth of July.

Archie believed that his admission could help in the ongoing investigation about Jason Blossom's (Trevor Stines) murder. But Miss Grundy wanted him to keep quiet, since it could destroy her career as a high school teacher.

But based on the teaser trailer for the upcoming episode titled "Body Double," Archie will ignore Miss Grundy's request since he was seen talking about the Fourth of July incident in front of Principal Waldo Weatherbee (Peter James Bryant) and Sheriff Keller (Martin Cummins).

The trailer also shows that Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) will have a different problem of her own when her supposedly fun date turns into a nightmare. Based on the video, someone will post an intimate photo of her and her date to put her in a negative light. But the synopsis reveals that she and Ethel Muggs (Shannon Purser) will expose the talked-about "shame book" involving the football players of Riverdale High.

The synopsis for the episode also reveals that Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) are planning to revive Riverdale High's school newspaper while investigating about Jason's death on their own.

Despite the murder mystery that surrounds the once quiet town, the Taste of Riverdale event is reportedly pushing through. The event will feature a performance from Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and the Pussycats, who will play the song that Archie helped write for the first time. This means that Archie must be there to watch them perform, even if he was grounded by his dad Fred (Luke Perry).

The CW will air the third episode of "Riverdale" on Thursday, Feb. 9.
