According to a report by PC-Tablet, the next phablet of Samsung is expected to hit the market in August this year. It has been a tradition for the company to release its Galaxy Note devices during the third quarter of a calendar year just like the Galaxy Note 5, which was released back in August 2015. That is why it is believed that the sixth sequel of the Note series will also come around a few months from now.

There are no official details yet regarding the said phablet, but several leaks and rumors regarding the specs and features have surfaced all over the web. As reported in International Business Times, the Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to have a 5.8-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It's also said to be incorporated with a pressure-sensitive screen that gives a 3D Touch-like feature just like the one found in the iPhone 6s. Rumors also suggest that the upcoming phablet will be released in both standard and curved display.

The device is also expected to boast a whopping 256 GB of internal memory storage as Phone Arena detailed that Samsung has just commenced mass-producing 256 GB UFS 2.0 memory chips. It will also be equipped under the hood with a massive 6 GB of RAM.

Joo Sun Choi, Executive Vice President, Memory Sales and Marketing, Samsung Electronics said, "We are determined to push the competitive edge in premium storage line-ups – OEM NVMe SSDs, external SSDs, and UFS – by moving aggressively to enhance performance and capacity in all three markets."

The likely processor that the phablet will have are two CPU editions, which are Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820. Moreover, the Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to feature the same 12-megapixel camera on the rear with BRITECELL technology that can produce quality images even in extremely low-light conditions. A fingerprint sensor and S-Pen stylus, as well as an Android 6.0 Marshmallow, are also expected.
