'Scandal' season 6 cast news, release date: Jeff Perry's daughter added to the cast
In the sixth season of ABC's popular political drama TV series "Scandal," Jeff Perry's daughter Zoe will be added to the cast. Her role, however, has yet to be revealed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 61-year-old actor's daughter has been cast for a recurring role in "Scandal" season 6. Zoe is Perry's daughter with his former wife, actress Laurie Metcalf. Those who aren't familiar with the name might know her as Mary, Sheldon's mother in "The Big Bang Theory."
Like her parents, Zoe is familiar with the acting industry. Her role in the upcoming show will not be her first time in a Shonda Rhimes' production company. Zoe once portrayed a patient in the popular medical drama TV series "Grey's Anatomy." She was also part of the cast of "Private Practice."
Screenwriter and TV producer Shonda Rhimes is known for utilizing family members of her existing stars for her shows. To note, she recently introduced "Scandal" actor Scott Farley's wife in the latest season of "Grey's Anatomy." She now portrays Arizona's (Jessica Capshaw) latest love interest. Aside from this, "Scandal" actress Katie Lowes starred alongside her husband, Adam Shapiro in the series.
"Scandal" season 6 is expected to premiere early in 2017. Although the upcoming season is months away, little is known about what is to come. Although ABC dropped a poster for the sixth season, it didn't contain significant details about the next installment. The poster contains a few puzzling details that are getting everyone thinking about the possibilities.
In the latest poster for "Scandal," the lead character Olivia Pope, who is portrayed by Kerry Washington, can be seen. Her image is emblazoned with a teaser that reads, "The balance of power is about to shift."
Watch out for more updates on the sixth installment of "Scandal."
