'Scream Queens' season 2 cast news: 'Twilight' alum Taylor Lautner joins

Many remember Taylor Lautner from the "Twilight" series for playing the handsome werewolf, Jacob. Now, fans of Lautner will be happy to know that co-creator Ryan Murphy has tapped the hunky 24-year-old for a role in "Scream Queens" season 2.
Lautner will be bringing life to a doctor named Cassidy Cascade. As fans of the comedy horror series may now know, season 2 will revolve around the girls of Kappa Kappa Tau and Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), who has now purchased a hospital. According to Entertainment Weekly, Lautner's Cassidy will find himself involved with Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd). He is described as someone who "suffers from a bizarre medical condition." People will also start to doubt him after a sequence of suspicious, tragic events.
Additionally, James Earl, best known for his work on "Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life" and "Glee," has been confirmed to be on board the new season of "Scream Queens" as well. Earl will be playing the role of Candy Striper, although a character description has not been made available.
The cast is certainly getting bigger and bigger as the days go by. It was previously reported that John Stamos has also been added to the growing roster of cast members. Stamos will be playing a character named Dr. Brock Holt, "the hospital's brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon."
Stamos is a television veteran, previously starring on "ER" and "Full House." He also had a short-lived program on FOX titled "Grandfathered." Currently, Stamos can be seen on "Fuller House," where he is reprising his role of Jesse Katsopolis.
Fans are undoubtedly excited about the new season. And even though not a lot of plot details have been revealed to the general public, "Scream Queens" has still managed to pique fans' interests. The second season of the comedy horror series will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20, on FOX.
