'Sense8' season 2 rumors: new installment canceled by Netflix?

Following the confirmation that filming is under way for "Sense8" season two, there are new reports claiming that Netflix may have canceled the show due to financial constraints and an issue with a new cast member.

According to a report by Australia News Network, Sikander Kher, the new cast member, is asking too much for his talent fee from Netflix. The Bollywood star is expected to enter the story as a villainous character, though it is reported that his unreasonable monetary demands may lead to the show's cancellation even after some scenes have already been filmed.

There are also reports suggesting that budget may be an issue that Netflix has to resolve. As fans know, "Sense8" involves various shooting locations and traveling from place to place to shoot sequences requires a lot of money for the expenses.

It is worth noting though that Netflix has not yet responded to the issues. However, the streaming giant's silence over the past weeks and the delay in announcing an exact premiere date for "Sense8" season two has led fans to believe that the series may have already been canceled and the network is just waiting for the right moment to make the announcement.

On the other hand, there's so much to look forward to in the upcoming installment. The sensates are expected to explore more of their connections and mental powers when the new episodes arrive. Adding to that is the anticipation for Kala's (Tina Desai) romantic life.

In the previous season, Kala was seen seemingly falling in love with Wolfgang (Max Riemelt). However, things got complicated in the long run, especially with Kala being engaged to Rajan (Purab Kohli) for the sake of her family. She doesn't want to disappoint them and agreed to the engagement against her will.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that if the series gets canceled, a spin-off may be on the way. This is a good idea for Netflix since fans are still crazy over the sensates and it would be a huge loss in terms of viewership if fans get nothing from the hit franchise.

"Sense8" season two is expected to premiere sometime early 2017.
