'Sense8' season 2 release date, spoilers: filming pushes through amid cancellation rumors
The cast and crew of "Sense8" are indirectly slamming reports about the show's purported cancellation as the show continues to post updates on its official Instagram account regarding the second season's development.
The show has been in the rumor mill for a couple of months now as Netflix remains mum on the premiere date for "Sense8" season two. There have been reports that the show was silently axed by the media streaming giant due to issues on set and some cast behavioral and monetary demand issues. Netflix has not responded to the speculations and production seems to be shrugging the rumors off.
In a post on Monday, the series showed off how it goes about with filming. Cameramen and assistants are helping the main camera crew as they shoot a scene on a bridge. "It takes a cluster to get the perfect shot #Road2Sense8," the photo was captioned.
Late last week, another post revealed that the cast and crew did some filming in London. The character being filmed is still a mystery since the shot was hazy, as if trying to keep eagle-eyed fans from taking away something to ponder on from the said photo captioned with the words: "London, let's take a closer look. The #Road2Sense8 continues."
Every week, there are a couple of photos uploaded by the show and it's getting more and more impossible to believe that Netflix has canceled the Wachowski-led production, especially noting that the cast and crew seem to be cool despite all the cancellation rumors.
Meanwhile, speculations on the plot of "Sense8" season two are still very hot on the heels of Sikander Kher, who revealed in July that he will be joining the cast for a small but very significant role that would lead the story forward.
It is believed that his character is a villain who will eventually show his true colors as someone who will get Kala (Tina Desai) out of her miserable state of being torn between two men. However, will Kher's character really be the key to end the love triangle between Rajan (Purab Kohli), Kala and Wolfgang (Max Riemelt), or will he further add to the complicated situation?
Find out how things will go for the sensates when "Sense8" season two premieres sometime early 2017 on Netflix.
