'Sister Wives' season 8 renewed or cancelled? Kody Brown faces bankruptcy?

(Facebook/Sister Wives)Is Kody Brown of "Sister Wives" going bankrupt?

TLC has remained tight-lipped on the renewal or cancellation of "Sister Wives," and due to the silent treatment that the network has given to fans, there are numerous rumors circulating around the potential cancellation of the reality show's eighth season.

New reports suggest that Kody Brown, the polygamous family's patriarch, may be facing some financial issues as the fate of his show continues to hang in the balance. If "Sister Wives" season eight doesn't push through, this could pose a further threat to the Brown family's income, especially since it is unclear where Kody gets the money to feed his huge family. It could be that Kody is merely depending on his TLC series for cash.

Aside from Kody's alleged path to bankruptcy, there are also rumors circling around his purported secret affair outside of his four wives. If the speculations are true that Kody may be hiding another wife somewhere, it will further put a lot of hurdles in front of the show's renewal.

Earlier reports said the reason why TLC has not yet announced the premiere of "Sister Wives" season eight is because the network is dismayed over Kody's alleged plans to add two more wives to his already large family. However, none of the rumors have been addressed just yet.

There are also rumors suggesting that Kody may be going through a midlife crisis, which could possibly be the focus of "Sister Wives" season eight, if it will be announced anytime soon.

Then there's Mykelti Brown's upcoming wedding, which will most likely be depicted in the upcoming installment. It is expected that Kody will be officiating his daughter's marriage to Tony Padron. This would be a nice plot for the new episodes, considering that a lot of viewers are interested in engagement parties and preparations for marriage.

Mykelti's wedding is said to take place by December 2016, and if "Sister Wives" season eight rolls out, the ceremonies will be a good show for viewers who still follow the series despite the many issues that the Brown family is faced with.
