The polygamous brood of Kody Brown may be facing a lot of problems these days, not only because "Sister Wives" season eight has not yet been announced by TLC, but also because of the patriarch's alleged health issues.

New reports suggest that Kody may be having health conditions that the family is trying to keep secret from the public. Though Kody has not spoken up in "Sister Wives" season seven about any health concerns that the show might want to be worried about, it seems that the pressures of his polygamous lifestyle are taking its toll on him.

It is speculated that his health issues started getting worse when his first wife, Meri, got involved in a catfishing scandal. As fans know, Meri admitted in the show's sixth season that she was catfished by a woman claiming to be a man. It was a sad and shocking revelation for the entire family, especially since everyone believed that she was the most loyal to Kody, considering that she even divorced her husband so he could marry another woman.

It appears now that Kody might have been greatly affected by Meri's scandal and this could have led to his health's decline. On the other hand, there are no official announcements made by the Brown family yet so these reports might merely be speculations.

Meanwhile, it is also believed that Kody is fighting to keep "Sister Wives" on air. The purported reason behind it is because of his alleged financial crisis. Over the past few years, fans have not been given a clear picture of how Kody really gets his finances covered. It could be that he is only relying on the TLC show to keep his luxurious lifestyle as it is.

If the network decides to cancel the reality series, it might be a really bad time since Kody is said to be sick and he might not be able to get a good job to pay for everything that his large family needs.
