Although the highly anticipated Marvel comics film adaptation "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is slated to release next year, it seems like casting for the film has not ended yet. New cast members have been added recently to beef up the roster of characters.

According to Deadline, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" just added Disney "Kirby Buckets" actress Tiffany Espensen and "NYPD Blue" star Garcelle Beauvais. However, their roles have not been revealed yet. Joining them is Tyne Daly, who is known for her work in "Cagney & Lacey" and "Judging Amy."

The past months were a busy time for the casting directors of the upcoming film as they have announced more additions to the growing cast member. But the most notable names that are confirmed to be on the film with Tom Holland, who plays the titular character, are Robert Downey Jr. and Michael Keaton. Downey is set to play Iron Man and Keaton will portray the comics' iconic villain, The Vulture.

The cast list may not be completed yet so more additions are expected to be announced very soon. However, the film has already generated a lot of rumors and speculations.

According to reports, Academy Award nominee Anna Kendrick wants to play as Squirrel Girl in a Marvel movie. It is not clear yet if that Marvel movie would be the "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Squirrel Girl is a member of the Great Lakes Avengers team.

There are also rumors suggesting that Captain America (Chris Evans) might be appearing on the web-slinger's film. 

As for casting Holland, co-producer Amy Pascal stated on Marvel, "Sony, Marvel, Kevin and I all knew that for Peter Parker, we had to find a vibrant, talented young actor capable of embodying one of the most well-known characters in the world. With Tom, we've found the perfect actor to bring Spider-Man's story into the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" premieres on July 7, 2017.
