'Spider-Man: Homecoming' spoilers, news: Trailer to release with 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'

(Facebook/SpiderManMovie)"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is set to premiere on July 7, 2017.

So far, Marvel has yet to publicly release a trailer for "Spider-Man: Homecoming." However, that is all about to change when "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" hits theaters.

According to Comicbook.com, the first video of the upcoming film was shown to fans at the San Diego Comic-Con. Unfortunately, until now, Marvel has not made the video available online. But it has been revealed that the trailer will be released hand-in-hand with the premiere of Disney's "Star Wars" prequel, which is scheduled to arrive on the big screen on Dec. 16.

It should also be noted that trailers are typically released online before they hit theaters, so fans may be able to see it sooner than expected.

Fans were already introduced to Tom Holland's Peter Parker when he made his Marvel cinematic debut in "Captain America: Civil War." But who else will be gracing the screen when "Spider-Man: Homecoming" premieres?

It has been reported that Zendaya ("Shake It Up," "K.C. Undercover") will be playing a major role in the film. And while many initially suspected that she would play Mary Jane, the actress' description of her character might indicate otherwise.

"My character is not romantic. My character is like very dry, awkward, intellectual and because she's so smart, she just feels like she doesn't need to talk to people, like, 'My brain is so far ahead of you that you're just not really on my level.' So she comes off very weird. But to me, she is very cool because she's deep. She's always thinking about something, always reading," Zendaya told The Hollywood Reporter.

On the other hand, Jacob Batalon will be playing Ned Leeds, Peter's best friend. Michael Keaton is set to portray Vulture, the film's antagonist, while Marisa Tomei will be reprising her role as Aunt May. Robert Downey Jr. is also going to make an appearance as Tony Stark/Iron Man.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will premiere on July 7, 2017.
