With the dates for the Steam Summer Sale 2016 held by Valve being speculated upon, there are indications that at least a few have figured out its start and end date. More importantly, going by current rumors, it appears that people will at least have to wait until June 23 for it to start.

The rumors about the Steam Summer Sale 2016 started last month when a user on Reddit by the name of 'MrFreemanBBQ' made it public, and since then, they have been circulating. According to him, the sale would kick off on June 23 at 9:45 a.m. PT (12:45 p.m. EST) and would end on the following month on July 4 at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. EST). This particular Reddit user had also leaked details about the Steam Summer Sale 2015 last year, so as soon as he made these details public, it was picked up by a number of websites. While this news was being picked up and reported on, it became clear that Valve, the company that owns the Steam website, has not made any plans public for such a sale.

Even though one month has passed since the rumors surrounding the Steam Summer Sale 2016 arose, Valve has not made it official. Therefore, the current rumors of the start date of the Steam Summer Sale 2016 may be based on speculation and hot air and nothing more. However, several other users have pointed out that Valve has a long-standing tradition of releasing details about such a sale at the last moment and it is planning to hold true to this during this year.

When it comes to offers on games during Steam Summer Sale 2016, a lot of rumors are swirling about these too and they have indicated that among the best ones would be "NBA 2K16." There is also speculation that a new sale will arrive on the PlayStation Plus soon and games such as "Gone Home" and "Resident Evil HD Remastered" will be offered to take on those that are included in the Steam Summer Sale 2016.
