Doctor Who-Sherlock crossover: Steven Moffat says he has no problem with the idea

San Diego Comic-Con 2015 is almost over and fans can unanimously agree that this year's convention is nothing short of top notch. Arguably one of the best parts of the widely attended event are the panels and amongst the most talked about at the offset of its third day run is BBC's "Doctor Who" season nine panel.

Hall H was jammed pack during the "Doctor Who" event and most of the 7000 fans who were in attendance waited all day to hear more about what can be expected from the ninth season of the cult franchise. Thankfully, Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Michelle Gomez and Steve Moffat were not stingy with information and spoilers.

Amongst the anticipated facets of "Doctor Who" season nine is the return of Missy aka the current reincarnation of the Doctor's arch nemesis: The Master. Michelle Gomez, the actress playing Missy, gushed about her experience playing a very iconic role in an equally iconic show. She said, "She has to come at it from a different angle, which is surprising and exciting to play,"

Moffat further teased about how the Doctor – Master relationship would evolve come the next season.

"There's a different dynamic to her. The way Missy comes back into the Doctor's life is probably not something you're going to predict. They are friends, that's the terrifying thing. It's a friendship between a vegetarian and a hunter."

Another exciting information that was revealed during the panel revolves around the Sherlock-Doctor Who crossover that most fans have been hoping for. Steven Moffat is involved in both productions and during the event, he claimed that the Doctor and Sherlock meeting is not entirely far-off.

"Just for the record, I have no problem with them meeting. It's all the rest of them that have a problem with it. They're very different. I'm not sure how they'd get on,"

"Doctor Who" would be returning for its ninth season on Sept. 19, 2015.
