There was an immense amount of disappointment earlier this week when the much awaited beta for "Street Fighter V" was withdrawn after gamers had to plod through a variety of errors.

With the beta withdrawn, many industry pundits were quick to point out that if the developer, Capcom, wanted to find out how the game performed, then they really got a bad taste of its performance.

Since it was just the first beta for "Street Fighter V," it was expected that it would have a number of problems with several gamers keeping their expectations low when they proceeded to play the game after it was launched on July 23.

The problems experienced by the players, however, made the game very unplayable, with others even dealing with the never ending error messages, which kept flashing on their screens.

Capcom was immediately informed of these problems and the developer quickly attempted to fix the issues by shutting down the game's servers and rectifying the faults. When they restarted the beta testing on Friday and Saturday, however, they decided to limit it to those residing in the United States to lessen the load on its servers. Unfortunately, this tactic also did not reduce the number of errors and glitches.

This led to Capcom issuing a statement on their website  in which they described the problems as "very severe" and greater than what they had expected to encounter in the beta.

Capcom added that the beta test will be postponed to a future date.

The developer recently updated the statement on its website and assured that the first beta test will not be included in their "beta test allotments."  In addition, Capcom assured that they are going to offer a worthwhile incentive in the upcoming game as an apology to those who participated in the failed beta.
