'Suits' season 6B spoilers: Robert Zane's merger to be center focus

"Suits" just aired its midseason finale and fans are already wondering what's going to happen next, especially after the packed hour-long episode. When season 6 returns, fans can expect the merger with Robert Zane's (Wendell Pierce) firm to be the centerpiece.
"Robert Zane is going to have to decide, and we're going to wonder: Is he going to keep this offer on the table, or is he not? And whether he keeps it on the table or doesn't, how are Louis and Harvey going to respond to that? That is absolutely one of the focuses of [Episode] 611," executive producer Aaron Korsh told TVLine.
In addition to that, Korsh also teased that there may be a wedding or two in the second half of the sixth season. Of course, that isn't set in stone yet, so no wedding is still an option.
The midseason finale also saw a huge shocker when Gina Torres' Jessica Pearson left the law firm she helped build. Korsh revealed to Deadline that the decision to have her leave earlier than initially planned was due to conflicts with her filming schedule for a different show. While everyone knew Torres was departing "Suits," it was a surprise when it came sooner than expected. However, fans need not worry because the window is always open for Torres' Jessica to return, even in a guest starring capacity.
As for who will be replacing Torres, Korsh said that they currently have no plans of casting a new regular. And while Jessica won't be back for the already renewed season 7, the rest of the team will still return.
It's going to be an exciting back half, especially now that there's only Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) left as partners. And as fans know, these two don't always get along. As for Mike (Patrick J. Adams), who is now a free man, he will find himself wanting to do good for others, but being a convicted criminal won't make it easy for him.
