The two best teams in football this year will face each other in the biggest game of the year in the 2015 Super Bowl. Last year's champions the Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in a showdown that promises to bring plenty of storylines for both fans and casual viewers alike.

The Seahawks will enter the Super Bowl on a massive high following a thrilling come from behind 28-22 victory against the Green Bay Packers in their NFC championship game last week. The defending champions were facing certain elimination after finding themselves trailing by 12 points late in the fourth quarter. But key plays by quarterback Russell Wilson, who was largely ineffective for most of the match, and running back Marshawn Lynch allowed to Seahawks to mount the most improbable of comebacks.

"'You have the belief these guys have in one another, there is nothing you can't do," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said in an interview with Yahoo! Sports. Wilson echoed these statements reiterating that the team's collective drive will always give them a fighting chance.

The New England Patriots, on the other hand, obliterated the Indianapolis Colts 45-7 in the AFC championship game. Head coach Bill Belichick and star quarterback Tom Brady will be making their sixth Super Bowl appearance. The duo will be looking to win anew since their last victory in 2005. The Patriots made it to the Super Bowl in 2008 and 2012 but lost both times to the New York Giants.

"I know we've had some ups and downs this year but right now we're up, baby, and we're going to try to stay up for one more game," Brady said, in a post-game interview, as reported in Yahoo! Sports.

The highly-anticipated Super Bowl showdown will pit the defensive-minded Seahawks against the machine-like offensive attack of the Patriots. The game will kick off at 6.30 p.m.  on February 2 from the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.  It will be available to view on NBC.
