"Fated Retribution" update for "Tekken 7" is rumored to be released in July, a listing on the Japanese arcade game website AM-Net seems to confirm. The listing also advises arcade operators to place their orders in, on or before March 18, to get the new update.

Attack of the Fanboy agrees with the July release, saying this could mean one thing: Bandai Namco, the game publisher, is planning to have the updated version out in time for Evolution Championship Series, more commonly known as EVO. This is the largest and longest-running fighting game tournaments in the world. The 2016 event will take place in Las Vegas Convention Center starting on July 15.

Three game trailers have been uploaded, revealing a few details about the new version of the arcade game. The first video uploaded last December reveals Akuma as a playable character with new costumes. He is originally from "Street Fighters," who is half-man and half-demon. The trailer also shows a preview of his abilities and techniques as he battles with Dragunov.

Late in January, another trailer reveals an additional character: Nina Williams, who is described as "the cold-blooded Irish assassin." She has been a recurring character since the first Tekken game. Her fighting style consists of grapples, throws, and holds. The update, though, may be seeing more lethal moves from her. According to Wikia's list, her fighting style in "Fated Retribution" is Koppojutsu-based Assassination Arts and Aikido-based techniques.

The last trailer reveals a new Rage Attack, updated Rage mode, and Akuma's unique super meter.

The upcoming new version of the game is also said to add new moves, better graphic designs, and more balanced gameplay.

Meanwhile, N4BB reported that the game publisher previously announced that the arcade fighting game will be making its way to PlayStation 4 anytime soon, but there is no word yet on the exact date.

Bandai Namco has yet to announce exactly when "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will be released.
