'Terminator 5' news update: Genesis featuring alternate timelines; Original characters return

According to a "reputable" source, some of the characters present in the 1984 original Terminator film will be revisited in the upcoming Genesis revival.

Terminator: Genesis is the upcoming 2015 revival of the highly successful Arnold Schwarzenegger film that helped the actor become a Hollywood legend. It was initially reported that 'Genesis' will be a stand-alone film and won't be a continuation of the past Terminator films. Now that the production of the movie is ongoing, rumors are circulating that old characters from the previous films will return, according to a "reputable" source who talked to Moviehole.

The source confidently stated that Alan Taylor, the director of the film, will give an alternate timeline treatment to the movie, going back and forward between 1984 (when the original Terminator movie was released), 1991 (when Terminator 2 was released), and some other significant moments from the Connor family.

Schwarzenegger will reprise his role in the said film, while Emilia Clarke, famous for her role in the HBO series, Game of Thrones, will play Sarah Connor. Jai Courtney, who appeared in Die Hard 5, has been cast as Kyle Reese, and Jason Clarke, who was also in Planet of the Apes will appear in the Terminator revival.

The said source also mentioned that characters from the original movie will return. These characters such as Detective Hal Vukovich (Lance Henriksen), Lieutenant Ed Traxler (Paul Winfield), Ginger (Sarah's roommate), and even the iguana, Pugsley, will return in Genesis to support the alternate timelines.
