"The 100" is not set to return until next year but fans of The CW show are already eating up any spoiler for season 3 that they can get their hands on. To the delight of the series' followers, showrunner Jason Rothenberg shed some light on what to expect in the new season, especially about Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) and Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) and an up-and-coming character.

In season 2 of "The 100," Clarke caved in to her guilt and left Camp Jaha. Left on his own to care for the Sky People, Bellamy emerged as a true leader, in turn making him into one of the most-loved characters in the show. But fans are wondering if his heroic acts will ever be recognized when he returns to his people after his undercover work as a Mountain Man at Mount Weather. Will he still be as likeable and admirable in the upcoming season?Rothenberg said yes.

On Twitter, one fan asked the showrunner about the character's fate in season 3.

Rothenberg answered, "Bellamy is a force of nature this season. @WildpipM [the official Twitter of Morley] will crush you."

But amidst the recognition, Bellamy will be ridden with guilt for killing so many mountain people, some of whom were innocent. Yet this guilt won't be enough to stop him from fulfilling his responsibilities. The burden may be too much, though, as Rothenberg promised that everyone will see the character in a very emotional scene.

Although Bellamy factors a lot in the new season, there are other characters that fans should look forward to seeing, like a Grounder named Roan (Zach McGowan). Details about the new character is being kept under wraps but he will not be easy to deal with as he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants and influence Clarke heavily. Writer Shawna Benson said that despite these, Roan is exactly what the post-apocalyptic show needs for the third season.

"The 100" season 3 is expected to premiere in early 2016.
