'The 100' season 4 air date, spoilers: ALIE's prediction comes true

(Facebook/cwthe100)The survivors prepare for the new threat in "The 100" season 4.

Clarke (Eliza Taylor) will be the bearer of bad news for the Sky Crew in the upcoming season of "The 100."

Showrunner Jason Rothenberg recently revealed in the Comic-Con 2016 that ALIE's (Erica Cerra) prediction on the looming nuclear crisis is true. In six months, the entire world will almost be uninhabitable. The EP said that the apocalypse cannot be stopped, but there is still a chance for many to survive if they make the right choices. As per Inquisitr, the doomed humans will have different reactions to the end of the world. While some will continue their quest for domination, others will simply throw their weapons and make peace with each other.

"Once this thing lands in their lives as a reality — that they're all going to die in six months — we will see some people say, 'You know what, enough fighting, I just want to live life to its fullest,' and those people will sing," Rothenberg said.

Meanwhile, Clarke and Octavia's (Marie Avgeropoulos) fates in season 4 have recently been teased. In her interview with TV Line, Taylor said her character would have no plans of dating again so soon after Lexa's (Alycia Debnam-Carey) death. This will be a huge letdown for "Bellarke" fans, who wish to see her with Bellamy (Bob Morley). According to the actress, Clarke will take her time to move on from the sad happenings in her life. She expressed her hopes though that the character would soon be okay.

As for Octavia, she is heading an even darker path in the new installment. After killing Pike (Michael Beach), she will reportedly discover that she is still not happy that Lincoln's (Ricky Whittle) murderer is gone. As she deals with the repercussions of what she did, Octavia will find what will give her satisfaction – killing more people. It is even hinted that she will be leaving the squad in search for a more suitable group for her.

"The 100" season 4 is expected to air late 2016 or early 2017 on the CW.
