'The 100' season 4 spoilers: Bellamy looks to redeem himself; star Christopher Larkin wants more lighthearted moments

(Facebook/cwthe100)Bellamy will try to redeem himself in season 4.

Clarke and the rest of the Sky people have grown so much since they first landed on Earth in "The 100." Aside from handling the fallout from the events from last seaon, how will the survivors deal with the threat of an impending nuclear meltdown?

Season 3 of "The 100" was a polarizing one, as viewers' emotions were put through the wringer. Who can forget Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Lexa's (Alycia Debnam-Carey) reunion, the Grounder Commander's shocking death, Lincoln's (Ricky Whittle) execution, Octavia's (Marie Avgeropoulos) beat down of Bellamy (Bob Morley), and Raven's (Lindsey Morgan) escape from ALIE? While the season ended with Clarke triumphing over ALIE, it came with the revelation that several abandoned nuclear power plants are releasing radiation and that the Earth will be uninhabitable in half a year.

The news that the remaining survivors will be dealing with nuclear fallout has had fans thinking whether it's the end of the Sky People, the Grounders, and the Ice Nation. While the plot for "The 100" season 4 is being kept under wraps, some of the stars have given hints as to what their characters might be doing.

Showrunner Jason Rothenberg hinted to Zap2It that when the reality that the people on Earth only have a few months left to live, some would probably say that they have had enough of fighting and would "just want to live life to the fullest."

Two characters who might be down for some lighthearted moments would be Monty (Christopher Larkin) and Jasper (Devon Bostick), something that Larkin agrees with.

"At the end of the season you see him and Jasper in a moment of hope for the first time in years," Larkin explained. "So it would be really nice for us to have some levity on this show, and I think Jasper and Monty are a really good vessel for that."

As for their comrades, Clarke would undoubtedly be trying to find a way to save everyone, while Bellamy will reportedly be looking for a way to redeem himself after aligning himself with Pike (Michael Beach) last season. The character has his work cut out for him as he tries to reach out and fix his relationship with his sister, Octavia.

"Hopefully we become more like brother and sister and talk to each other as equals, as adults," Morley revealed to TV Insider.

"The 100" season 4 is expected to be back on air in 2017.
