'The Affair' season 3 spoilers: Alison determined to steal Cole from Luisa

(Facebook/The Affair)Alison wants her family back in The Affair season 3.

Alison (Ruth Wilson) is a woman with a mission in the upcoming season of "The Affair." Aside from getting her daughter back, it looks like she also wants to steal Cole (Joshua Jackson) from Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno).

Showtime has recently released the promo for the new installment. Three years have passed since Alison's secret blew up in her face. Her then-fiancé, Noah (Dominic West), found out that little Joanie was not his. After getting tried and convicted for Scotty's (Colin Donnell) murder and spending years in jail, Noah is determined to forget he was ever involved with Alison. She is officially alone, since Joanie is living with her true dad, Cole, and his new wife.

Alison's hair is longer and a lot darker. The teaser shows that she frequently visits her daughter at Cole's place. Luisa does not like it because she thinks Alison is up to something. After all these years, she knows that Cole will come running at the snap of Alison's fingers. Luisa has no choice, however, since Alison has the right to see Joanie. It may look like Alison is worried that her constant visits are causing problems with Luisa, but it is somewhat obvious she is regretting that she ever cheated on Cole.

Meanwhile, Noah is officially out of prison. Helen (Maura Tierney), who has done everything for him while he was in jail, is looking forward to the day he will return to their home. Their children think she is crazy to do that. Helen, however, knows that her ex-husband took the fall for her. It was she who was driving in the accident that killed Scotty. Noah, however, does not look like he has plans to reunite with her.

Tierney previously shared that Helen has not yet moved on after three years. How will Noah's rejection affect her?

"Psychology, certainly Helen is kind of stuck in the same spot. So the season will sort of be about her... all of them kind of dealing with the consequences once again of their actions in the previous season. Everybody did it, not just Helen," the actress explained in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"The Affair" season 3 premieres Sunday, Nov. 20 at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
