"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will start filming in August. And although fans are hoping for the best, there are definitely signs that the show will end with its 10th season. One such sign comes in the form of an interview with Kunal Nayyar, who plays Rajesh Koothrappali on the show.

"Look - next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of 'Big Bang Theory'," he said at the MCM comic con in London. It's true that the actors' contracts only extend up to season 10, which is why rumors have been spreading that it could be their last. Although, Nayyar was quick to clarify that he is still unaware of the show's fate after season 10.

"To be completely honest...I know people are gonna want to know what happens after season 10. I don't know what's going to happen," he continued.

It seems that its cast members are mostly on board with extending the show past their season 10 contract. It can't be denied that "The Big Bang Theory" is one of the most successful sitcoms currently on air, and CBS may choose to renew the show based on that alone.

But what will season 10 have in store for viewers when it premieres?

Season 9 left fans with the notion that Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf), and Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) father, Alfred (Judd Hirsch), hooked up at their hotel. The two instantly struck up a connection, despite their conflicting spiritual beliefs. Fans were led to believe that something had happened, but the truth will be revealed once season 10 rolls around.

The new season will reportedly pick up from where season 9 left off, which means fans will get to see the hilarious reactions of the gang members. Additionally, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard (Simon Helberg) are having a baby, which means they have a lot of planning to do for the arrival of baby Wolowitz.

And although season 10 is contractually their last, it won't be treated as their final season just yet—at least not until CBS makes an official announcement.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is widely believed to premiere in September.
