Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will go out to do some shopping in the upcoming episode of the hit series "The Big Bang Theory."

In "The Solder Excursion Diversion," the synopsis reveals that Amy will be buying her boyfriend a new laptop. Apparently, she wants Sheldon to dispose of his old gadget and use the one she will purchase for him. While Sheldon is appreciative of her generosity, he will have difficulty saying goodbye to his old friend. Will his refusal to throw it away cause problems with Amy?

Elsewhere, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) will be in big trouble with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco). It appears that the boys were planning to see a movie premiere, but decided not to tell their wives about it. Unfortunately for them, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) will be around to tell the ladies exactly what their husbands are doing.

Meanwhile, Penny will be considering a career move in the upcoming episodes. Before she married Leonard, she was determined to become an actress. Penny even worked as a bartender and waitress at the Cheesecake Factory to support her ambition. After starring in small parts in several shows, Penny decided to quit being an actress and joined Bernadette at her pharmaceutical company.

Executive producer Steve Molaro told Entertainment Weekly that the time has come for Penny to think about her career once again. Many fans of the series were quite disappointed that she dropped her plans of becoming a successful actress, considering it was her ultimate dream. It was revealed, though, that Cuoco's character will not be acting again, but will be trying a different job altogether.

"We're starting to think about where Penny is in her life professionally. While she's doing well in her current career, she may not be in love with it. There will be another step," the showrunner said.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 19 will air on Thursday, March 31, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
