'The Division' patch 1.2 has players complaining of character wipeout

(Official Website)Players complain of missing characters after implementing Patch 1.2.

It doesn't look so well for "The Division" Patch 1.2 as reports reveal of complaints regarding character wipeout.

According to a Reddit post and also in Ubisoft's forum, players are complaining that they no longer see their characters when logging in after the implementation of the patch. A user named DRecordings mentioned this statement in the forum:

"All my characters have gone from my account after the update guys. Two level 30 [gear level 215 and 211] characters with numerous gear sets and spare pieces, and two low level characters used as storage for gear pieces. Hope it gets resolved, I've submitted a ticket and tried live chat but there are no support staff to talk to."

This is just one of the various complaints flooding both Reddit and forums, but thankfully, the pleas are not falling on deaf ears because Natchai Stappers, Ubisoft community manager, assured players that the developers are aware of the issue and they are now requesting for the usernames of affected players for a thorough investigation and proper action.

Gamers can recall that this is not the first major bug or issue seen in the game after a patch was implemented. Players can recall back in March 13 when there was an issue regarding players unable to enter the game because of crafting a certain backpack. This issue has already been resolved, but it took the developers almost a month to do so. This means that there is a possibility for a fix regarding the character wipeout issue to be available in June.

However, the issue of recurring bugs each time a patch is implemented is not a good sign for both the developer and the game as it could lead some players to abandon the game and look for another rather than slog through "The Division."
