'The Elder Scrolls Online' Dark Brotherhood DLC release date: May for PC and June for PS4 and Xbox One

(The Elder Scrolls Online / Facebook)'The Elder Scrolls Online' Dark Brotherhood DLC will be released this month on PC and next month on PS4 and Xbox One.

Game developer Bethesda Softworks has announced the Dark Brotherhood downloadable content pack for "The Elder Scrolls Online" to be available by the end of this month. Gamers can expect brand-new gameplay mechanics, new quests, missions, and content support for the story.

According to the official site of "The Elder Scrolls Online," the new expansion for the role-playing game on web platform, Dark Brotherhood, is confirmed to launch for the PC through Steam on May 31. However, players who use PS4 and Xbox One consoles will be getting it a couple of weeks later, on June 14.

A wide variety of content can be expected from the upcoming DLC, which includes hiring an assassin and getting an access to a new passive skill line and all-new PVE area of Cyrodiil called the Gold Coast. Plus, it will also feature new quests, weapons, rewards, and items.

The entire DLC game pack will cost 2,000 crowns in the ESO Crown Store. However, if you have an active ESO Plus membership, then you can avail the expansion at no cost.

Bethesda added, "A 'Dark Brotherhood' DLC Collector's Bundle will also be available in the Crown Store for 4,000 crowns. It includes the 'Dark Brotherhood' DLC game pack, the Highland Wolf Mount, the Sylvan Nixad pet, and five Crown Experience Scrolls."

Also, a lot of Elder Scrolls fans are looking forward to the release of the upcoming installment of the game series "The Elder Scrolls 6" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 this year. However, rumor has it that the game developer will only feature "The Elder Scrolls Online" Dark Brotherhood DLC.

Perhaps the developer wants to focus first on its newest offering and hype up fans until the actual unveiling of the sixth "Elder Scrolls." However, there are reports that Bethesda may release a patch for the game that will come out together with the Dark Brotherhood DLC.
