Fans saw Jesse Wells return home to Earth-Two in the previous season. However, the same fans will be happy to know that Jesse is coming back for the third season.

Violett Beane, the actress who portrays the role, confirmed her return to TVLine recently. "I know I'll be back," she said. "But I don't know if it's with or without powers."

The previous season saw Jesse—along with Wally—being hit with the same force that gave Barry his super speed. Due to this, many fans immediately speculated that Jesse and Wally might gain the same powers as the Flash himself, respectively creating Jesse Quick and Kid Flash.

Beane admitted that she was excited when her character was hit with the force. "There was the spark when she got out of the coma, but... it didn't happen, and I was like, 'No!' I'm very excited [to play a speedster], and would love for it to happen early next season," she continued.

As for what is in store for viewers in the upcoming season, there has been some buzz concerning the plot. Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen aka the Flash, revealed the first episode's title to be "Flashpoint."

For those who are unfamiliar, "Flashpoint" is also a comic event series. The story sees an alternate universe, much darker than the present, which was triggered by Barry's actions, after he went back in time to stop his mother, Nora, from being killed. The season 2 finale of "The Flash" saw Barry do just that, and many are under the assumption that season 3 might delve into this alternate universe and explore the consequences of Barry's actions.

With so many things to expect in the coming season, it is a miracle that fans are even able to wait for the premiere. "The Flash" season 3 will make its debut on Tuesday, Oct. 4 on The CW.
