The American sitcom "The Goldbergs" season 3 just recently wrapped up, and before the curtains closed, it was already renewed for a fourth season.

Last May 4, ABC announced that it will be renewing the sitcom for another season. ABC stated, "Dust off those leg warmers and padded shoulders! Our favorite '80s TV family is bringing us a season of more laughs, as 'The Goldbergs' is officially a part of the ABC renewals and will be returning for a fourth season. That's right - Barry (Troy Gentile), Erica (Hayley Orrantia), Adam (Sean Giambrone), Murray (Jeff Garlin), Pops (George Segal),and Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) are coming back to television for even more '80s fun!"

The Goldbergs who live in the 1908s will continue to show their antics. ABC did not reveal, however, when the fourth season will be premiering or how many episodes will it run.

Meanwhile, its season 3 finale, titled "Have a Summer," was aired on Wednesday, May 18. It showed Adam and his friends having a hard time dealing with their first week in high school because they were afraid with the hazing from the seniors.

Adam ended up confronting his older brother Barry. After the confrontation, his popularity went up, earning the respect of his classmates and the upperclassmen. However, the feud of the siblings did not stay in school; it continued in their home as well.

Adam's sister Erica and her friends, on the other hand, were worried with the contents they were supposed to put inside their school's time capsule. She also got in between Adam and Barry's fight.

"The Goldbergs" is loosely based on the showrunner's, Adam F. Goldberg, childhood. Just like the character Adam, he used to videotape events in his life in the 80s. So, many of the scenes on the show are reenacted from his childhood videotapes. It had a lot of 80s pop culture reference including "Dirty Dancing" and "Footloose."
