'The Man In The High Castle' season 2 release date revealed: what to expect

Fans of the intriguing series "The Man In The High Castle" will be happy to hear that the upcoming season will release in a couple of months.

It was recently announced during the Television Critics Association press tour that "The Man In The High Castle" will return by the end of the year. The executive producers of the series were present during the event to share details about what is to come in the second season of the show.

Based on Philip K. Dick's novel, the series will finally reveal the identity of the man in the high castle, who is Hawthorne Abendsen. Isa Dick Hackett, one of the producers of the series, explained that this will be a pivotal moment for the series as the key character of the show will finally be introduced.

Meanwhile, many are curious about how the series will continue after it was announced that showrunner Frank Spotnitz was to leave the show this season. Executive producer David W. Zucker explained that the series will continue with the direction Spotnitz set for the show.

He also explained, "We are running in many ways like a republic. ... There are sort of senior powers in sort of every aspect of (the show) that Frank put in place. No one would choose to build a show this way, (but) at this point we have, I think, a system that is working as good as we can make it, and we will continue to find ways to improve it."

Aside from that, season 2 of the series will bring several other characters. It was stated that Bella Heathcote will join the cast as the romantic interest of Joe Blake, who is played by Luke Kleintank. However, there has yet to be more details concerning her role for the new season.

"The Man In The High Castle" is expected to return to the small screens this December 16.
