"The Mentalist" was one of the few series that gripped audiences and held their attention till the end. As the series ends with season seven's two-part finale on Wednesday, fans can expect a lot of drama. The episode's synopsis, photos and spoilers sound quiet promising.

TV Guide provides the synopsis of the two-part finale that follows Jane going back to his roots in order to catch a serial killer. Jane must pretend to be a physic in order to lure out a serial killer to the FBI. TVLine confirms that before Jane and Lisbon walk down the aisle, they must outwit a psychic-obsessed serial killer whose name is Lazarus. Is he someone audiences have seen before? Apparently not, as producer Bruno Heller tells TVLine that, "It's not someone you've met before. And as Robin pointed out to me, I don't think we've done any other serial killers over the years as strongly as this one, except for Red John, so it's very much a 'full circle' kind of event." The killer is as good as Red John? Well, it seems, fans have a lot to look out for in the series finale.

In the final episode, after tackling the killer, Lisbon finally agrees to marry Jane. However, a serial killer is bent on vengeance and may destroy their marital bliss. Will Jane and Lisbon walk down the aisle and finally get married? The romantic pair have been strong but will Lisbon finally agree on typing the knot? The promotional video suggest that they do, but whether it is a happy ending remains to be seen.

Additionally, it will be interesting to see Jane acts as a psychic again, reminiscent of the earlier days. The final curtain call of "The Mentalist" airs on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
