'The Night Shift' season 3 spoilers: TC and Jordan try to work normally as professionals in episode 2

(The Night Shift / Facebook)"The Night Shift" season 3 episode 2 airs on June 8.

TC and Scott attempt to save a woman and her child who were injured in a car accident in the upcoming episode 2, titled "The Thing with Feathers," of the American medical drama "The Night Shift."

The second part of the two-part premiere episode will show TC (Eoin Macken) and Scott (Scott Wolf) doing everything in their power to rescue a young boy and his mother after getting grave injuries from a car accident. While the team tries to keep the boy alive, it dawns on them that there is more to the victims' family than what they initially thought of. Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Syd (Jennifer Beals), on the other hand, are sent to Afghanistan to deal with the aftermath of the shots fired in the operating room.

The promo trailer for "The Thing with Feathers" shows the tension inside the operating room and outside the walls of the hospital. Before the clip ends, TC tells Jordan (Jill Flint) that he wants her to be happy, which is what she wants for him as well.

One of the highlights of the newest season is the introduction of actress Beals. She is set to guest star on the medical drama for six episodes. Her known acting roles include the award-winning series "The L Word."

Meanwhile, here is the rundown of the previous episode, titled "The Times They Are A-Changin."

TC, Scott, and Topher (Ken Leung) had to save an injured woman with only limited time. Meanwhile, the new recruit in the team, Jordan, was determined to prove her worth. The new addition to the night shift team Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) did not fit well with the other members of the medical team especially with Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.).

After the devastating miscarriage of Jordan and her rejection to TC's marriage proposal, the two are still trying to work things out between them, now that they are both working side by side as professionals.

"The Night Shift" season 3 episode 2 will air on NBC on June 8 at 10 p.m.
