'The Night Shift' season 3 spoilers: Team treats victims of fireworks explosion in episode 7

The night shift doctors at San Antonio Medical Center (SAMC) tend to numerous patients who came from a fireworks explosion at a concert. Plus, Syd is finally home in the upcoming episode 7, titled "By Dawn's Early Light," of the third season of the American medical drama "The Night Shift."

A fireworks explosion at a local concert causes panic and injury to a number of the concertgoers. TC (Eoin Macken) and Topher (Ken Leung) are sent to the place where the accident took place. When they are about to stabilize the condition of the area, another explosion will hurt a member of the rescue team.

Meanwhile, Syd (Jennifer Beals) has returned from her mission in Afghanistan. She decides to get back to work by helping out with the team sent by the SAMC; however, her mind is somewhere else as she thinks for her and her young daughter's plans.

Drew (Brendan Fehr) is about to lend a hand with the rest of the group, but he has to deal with their unusual family. Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty), on the other hand, choose to temporarily forget about their feud to focus on giving the patients their needed treatment. As they both work together, they discover more similarities in their personalities. Jordan (Jill Flint) and Scott (Scott Wolf) are also giving treatments to some other patients, which will also help give closure to their past conflicts.

The promo trailer for "By Dawn's Early Light" shows TC and Topher rushing to the area of explosion. It also reveals that Topher is injured.

Meanwhile, "90210" star AnnaLynne McCord shared on KTLA 5 Morning News about her guest starring role on "The Night Shift."

On playing as a pharmaceutical representative named Jessica Sanders, McCord revealed, "She's definitely an ambitious young woman...she comes in shakes things up in town."
