The upcoming episode of "The Night Shift" season 3 will see many injured concert goers. Titled "By Dawn's Early Light," episode 7 will start out with a local concert being interrupted by a fireworks explosion.

The explosion will affect many people, and TC (Eoin Macken) and Topher (Ken Leung) will head to the affected area to find that everyone is in a panic. The two of them will try to take care of everything at the concert. However, it looks like something bad will happen to one of them as a second explosion detonates.

Meanwhile, Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) will be forced to work on a patient together. The experience will bring about a friendship between them. Jordan (Jill Flint) and Scott (Scott Wolf), on the other hand, will be busy handling a patient from the concert explosion.

Having returned from Afghanistan, Syd (Jennifer Beals) tries to cope with the best thing for her daughter as she lends a hand to the team at San Antonio Memorial. Drew (Brendan Fehr) will also try to offer his assistance, but things won't end as well as he'd hoped.

A trailer has also been released for the new episode and it teases Topher sustaining an injury from the fireworks explosion at the outdoor concert. Viewers will see Topher running with a fire extinguisher in hand, but an explosion sends him flying as TC shouts his name. TC rushes to his side to treat him and a lot of blood loss is presumed. However, based on NBC's description of the episode, it seems that Topher will disregard his injures, which will cause TC to step in.
