'The Originals' season 3 spoilers: An unexpected return in episode 20

(The CW Network / Annette Brown)The Mikaelson siblings and their allies are faced with bigger enemies as "The Originals" season 3 nears its end.

The Mikaelsons and their allies are still mourning the death of Cami when more bad news is about to come. Davina's life is endangered and Lucien seems unstoppable because of his alliance with The Ancestors. In "The Originals" season 3 episdoe 20 titled "Where Nothing Stays Buried," another threat from the grave is bound to return.

Previously, Davina stabbed Kol with a magic-filled dagger to keep him asleep as they find a way to reverse the ancestors' curse. However, the earth shatters and the dagger falls off from Kol's body and he wakes up compelled to kill his girlfriend Davina. She appears lifeless as he realized what he has done seemingly too late.

The season has teased three major deaths within the season, and as the finale nears, all main characters are in danger of being killed. Because of Lucien's invincibility, Klaus and Elijah should work closely with their sister Freya to find a way to defeat him. However, Davina's situation will require her immediate attention.

As she cannot be in two places at the same time, she casts a magic spell that would save her brothers and friends, but the consequence leads the return of another enemy. The prophecy says that a death by family is bound to happen and there are three Mikaelsons popularly believed to return: Mikael, Esther, and Rebekah.

Meanwhile, fans of Klaus and Cami continue to mourn over the fate of the lovers' story. While many still hope for a resurrection, actress Leah Pipes has already considered herself jobless. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she revealed, "I cried the entire table read kind of uncontrollably."

She has been in the show for three years, and many of the viewers would have wanted to see her and Klaus together. Cami was that one person who believed that Klaus is a good person, and now that she is gone, will the rest of his support be enough to keep him on the right path?

Find out on "The Originals," which airs Fridays, 9 p.m., on The CW Network.
