'The Originals' season 3 spoilers: Slain characters take on the spotlight

The CW's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Originals" is currently on a hiatus and is expected to return to the airwaves on April. By then, fans will get to see more of the previously slain characters.

Taking the hints from the recently released trailer from the network, it appears that Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Finn Mikaelson (Caspar Zafer) will be taking the spotlight when the show resumes. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) continue on their journey.

For those who missed it, Hayley decided to leave town in "An Old Friend Calls." She further explained to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) that she could no longer carry the weight of her guilt over her deceased husband Jackson (Nathan Parsons). She later joined Klaus in the trip to leave New Orleans behind.

Despite the current developments, the two characters will still be making an appearance of some sort as evident in the promo images shared over by Spoilers Guide. The promo video, however, does not show them. In the image, they are shown huddling together at a campfire and alone in the woods. Their attention seems to be glued to one direction. Could they be talking to someone in this scene? Or have they seen something that may have prompted them to be on their guard?

Speculations indicate that their road trip will tie in with the flash-forward events that are set to unfold in its parent series, "The Vampire Diaries."

In the meantime, the episode will get to see the heated rivalry among the Mikaelsons, most particularly between Finn and Kol. The aforementioned video even hints at a bloody confrontation that is about to transpire in this segment or perhaps in the succeeding ones.

The CW is yet to reveal additional details about the episode. However, it is now known that the new installment will be called "Alone with Everybody" and will premiere Friday, Apr. 1, on the same time slot. Stay tuned for more updates.
