There is still no specific date as to when "The Originals" season 4 will exactly air, but various rumors and speculations have already surfaced as to what Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) fate will be when the series returns. While there are rumors saying that his salvation may be in the hands of his daughter, Hope (Summer Fontana), it is also speculated that somebody from his past will take him out from the ordeal that he is in.

To recall, Klaus was placed under a suspended nightmare because of the Tunde Blade that gives him agonizing pain in the season 3 finale of "The Originals." With no apparent solution as to how the curse will be broken, there are rumors claiming that Klaus may be saved by his own daughter, Hope, with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), much more that the series is going to feature a five-year time jump when it returns for its season 4, which means that Hope is no longer the adorable baby shown in the previous season.

As Hope is the only character in the series who is equipped with the combined powers of a witch, werewolf, and a vampire, such a theory may not really be a far cry. However, the rumors claiming that "The Vampire Diaries" character Caroline (Candice King) will be Klaus' hope are growing louder as well.

To the uninitiated, Morgan was originally part of "The Vampire Diaries," where his Klaus character was eventually paired with King's Caroline. However, when The CW produced a spin-off series, "The Originals," Morgan quit the series and left the many fans of his tandem with King sad and disappointed.

As "The Vampire Diaries" is set to begin airing its eighth and final season tomorrow, Oct. 21, it is suspected that King will now have the time to be part of "The Originals" season 4, and her Caroline character may finally leave "The Vampire Diaries'" Mystic Falls and head to "The Originals'" New Orleans.

Will this mean not only a salvation for Klaus but a second shot at romance for him and Caroline? No one outside "The Originals" really knows at this point in time.
