The gap between season 3 and season 4 will be the longest to date since "The Originals" will have to wait for next year to return. However, actor Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus Mikaelson in the series, shared via his social media account about a betrayal that's about to happen. On the other hand, a Klaroline reunion is speculated by some.

Morgan posted a video on his Instagram account to provide spoilers to fans who are anxious to know what happens to the Mikaelsons. He said that in season 4, "Someone will be betrayed." He also said there will "probably be staking of some kind or another," and continued that "blood will flow, enemies will become friends, friends will become enemies, strange and new alliances will be formed and most of all," he teased, "there will be Klaus."

Viewers are excited to see how Klaus returns. In the previous season's finale, he was daggered with Papa Tunde's blade, while his siblings' lives are anchored on him. People are excited to see how Klaus will be after showing some traces of humanity before their fall.

Previous seasons of "The Originals" used to air simultaneously with its parent series, "The Vampire Diaries," which allowed for story continuity and crossovers. However, it is going to be different this time around since the last season of "The Vampire Diaries" will air in October, while "The Orginals" season 5 will have to wait for next year.

A five-year time jump will also occur when season 4 premieres and this gives some Klaroline fans hope that Caroline (Candice King) will get to visit New Orleans and figure in a happy relationship with Klaus. It would be recalled that both had a connection that was featured in both the main series and the spin-off.

Celeb Dirty Laundry recalls one phone call from Klaus wherein he said, "Caroline, I'm standing in one of my favorite places in the world surrounded by food, music, art, culture, and all I could think about is how much I want to show it to you. Maybe one day you'll let me." There is also one scene during Caroline's graduation where Klaus said, "He's your first love (Tyler). I intend to be your last. However long it takes."

Fans of the pairing are holding on to those scenes in hope that a happy ending is still in store for the two. Could this possibly happen? Viewers have to wait and see.
