Hope (Summer Fontana) has not given up her hopes that she will soon meet her father in the upcoming season of "The Originals."

The official teaser released for season 4 contains an exciting glimpse of the grown-up Hope. With the forest as the backdrop, she is shown asking her mother Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) when they will finally meet Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Hope left New Orleans when she was still a baby. She and her mother left the city because of Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). The vampire succeeded in his mission to rid New Orleans of the Mikaelsons. The new installment is expected to kick-start five years after that fateful night. Hope has changed physically, but her burning determination to be reunited with her father has not.

The fate of the Mikaelson siblings still hangs in the balance. Klaus is inside some forgotten tomb, awaiting rescue. He cannot move because of the Tunde Blade embedded in his chest. Freya (Riley Voelkel), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are in an alternate world. The witch used her magic to transport her siblings to the other realm to save them. It will not come as a surprise to see the Original family back on its feet again. Hope will soon get her wish to see Klaus, but will Hayley permit it if a huge threat is looming in the horizon?

As per iTech Post, an even bigger foe will come to New Orleans and bring chaos to the Mikaelsons. Morgan has already hinted of what is to come in season 4. According to him, the world will turn upside down when alliances turn against each other. In the midst of all that is Klaus, whose fate remains a mystery. Who is the new enemy and what does he/she want from the hybrid?

"Someone will be betrayed. There will probably be a staking of some kind or another. Blood will flow. Enemies will become friends, friends will become enemies. Strange and new alliances will be formed. ... And most of all more than any of that, there will be Klaus," the actor said in an Instagram post.

"The Originals" season 4 is expected to return midseason 2017.
