The Walkers will be making their way back to television and they are doing it on October 11. The horror drama just recently dropped its new trailer, a few months ahead of their season six premiere.

During this year's San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), AMC's "The Walking Dead" panel gave the update every fan has been waiting for — the release date of its season six pilot. The AMC horror drama will be returning on October 11, just a few weeks after its companion-spinoff series "Fear the Walking Dead" ends its initial season. But that was not all that AMC had for the followers of the show. They also dished out a brand-new trailer and shared updates on casting.

The first trailer for season six of the zombie television series was as "loud and ferocious" as the previous seasons, reports Forbes. It gives a glimpse of what to expect, from the Wolves to what life will be like now in Alexandria after that cliffhanger ending in season five.

The cast and showrunners, sans co-creator Robert Kirkman (who is still recovering from a throat surgery), were also present during SDCC to answer a few fan questions. While it is known that the Wolves will pose a threat, producer Scott Gimple also confirms that fans should look out for the "big flashback episode" which they are creating for the new season, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

And of course, there will also be lots of stuff about Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and viewers will finally get an answer to the question where he had been before he resurfaced in the season five finale.

James explains Morgan's relationship with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), "Morgan and Rick have a particular kind of man love — the fact that he's gone to find Rick, who is the last person left on the planet who knows Morgan. Everyone else who knows Morgan is gone, ...which is why he goes to find him. Morgan is aware of the effect Rick has had on him. ... [And seeing him kill someone], there's going to be fallout."

A new character lifted straight off the comic where the series was based from is joining the cast and she will played by Merritt Wever. Ethan Embry is also on board for season six.

"The Walking Dead" returns for season six with a 90-minute episode on October 11.
