'The Flash' season 2 episode 10 spoilers, news: Will Barry finally tell Patty the truth?; Harrison Wells warns the Flash about Zoom

Fans of "The Flash" will finally see their favourite speedster return. And this time around, it seems Barry is set to reveal to his girlfriend his superhero identity.
A synopsis for the "The Flash" season 2's upcoming midseason premiere states that with their relationship becoming stronger, Barry (Grant Gustin) thinks about confiding to Patty (Shantel VanSanten) his secret identity as "The Flash." Meanwhile, Barry and the rest of the team hunt for a meta-human who can slow time and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) get to know Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale).
Fans know how reluctant Barry is about revealing his secret identity as he knows the knowledge will potentially put the people he cares about at risk. But he has already revealed that he's the Flash to Linda Park (Malese Jow), his former girlfriend, when he asked for her help in catching Zoom (Tony Todd). Now, Gustin says that Barry is "toying" with the idea of finally coming clean to Patty.
The star admitted in an old Entertainment Weekly interview that while Barry is considering revealing to Patty the truth, "he doesn't really know how to approach it." According to the 25-year-old Gustin, while his character is trying to dance around the truth, he's also getting better at lying to keep the people he loves safe.
Unfortunately, a trailer for the upcoming episode, titled "Potential Energy," shows that the option of revealing the truth to Patty or not might soon be out of Barry's hands. The teaser shows Barry and Patty at a party, enjoying themselves. Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that he can't keep secrets from Patty forever and he makes a decision to tell her the truth. One scene shows Wells (Tom Cavanagh) warning Barry that if Zoom finds out who he cares for, "he'll take them from you." Fans are given a glimpse of Zoom before Patty is shown being taken. The clip ends with Barry's girlfriend struggling while she's tied to a chair.
Fans will soon learn if Barry will follow through with his decision when "The Flash" season 2 returns to The CW on Jan. 19.
